Silent Auction & Concert to benefit the Obama Biden campaign.
You're Invited to the Obama Art-O-Rama!
Saturday October 11, 2008 at 411 Fountain St from 7-10pm
Some of the Ann Arbor area's best artists and musicians are throwing a party as a benefit for the Obama Biden campaign. It will be a wonderful musical evening with performances by Dick Siegel and Pete Siers among others, as well as a silent auction of great local artwork. The evening will start with drinks and appetizers and an opportunity to check out the art available in the silent auction. Mingle and have a drink and a nibble while you make your first bids. Then enjoy a set by Ann Arbor's own Dick Siegel. After Dick plays there will be time to up your bids, and have a little more to eat. Another set of music and it will be time to make your final bids on artwork. All proceeds on the sales of art will go directly to the Obama campaign.
The nitty gritty:
Tickets are $25 payable at the door or in advance at the Obama website Your ticket cost will be applied towards your first art purchase. We will have laptops set up to take your donations so you can pay with a credit card directly to the campaign or write a check. Please rsvp to las AT lesliesobel.com

The critique group exhibit 6- Lynda Cole, Martha Ceccio, Connie Cronenett, Candace Pappas, Betty Schwartz and Leslie Sobel - are hosting a benefit party for the Obama Biden campaign. Our friends Pat Truzzi and Madeleine Vallier are joining us to help elect Barack Obama and Joe Biden.We're soliciting donations of artwork for a Silent Auction to raise money in this crucial election year.
The auction will be on Saturday October 11th from 7 to 10, at 411 Fountain St - the fabulous home of Tamara Real and Carl Rinne. It will include performances by Dick Siegel and Pete Siers among others. The musicians are donating their time; we're donating our art, the food and drink- won't you join in by donating a piece of your artwork?
Artwork (including crafts) can be dropped off at 411 Fountain St. on these two dates: Saturday, October 4th from 1- 5, and Sunday, October 5th from 5 -7. (pick up of unsold work will be on Sunday the 12th from 2-5pm)
2-D work should be no larger than 36"; either framed, ready to hang, or mounted and protected with plastic. You may set a starting bid for your work.
